About The Hustle
The Hustle is a browser-based crime empire management game. You run a gang out of London, building up hoes to earn you money, thugs to protect it, and a criminal business empire โ while every other account playing right now, plus a roster of AI-controlled rival bosses, shares the exact same world you do.
There's no combat you watch play out โ every action is a single click and an instant result. The depth is in the economy and the risk/reward calls: how hard you push your hoes before happiness collapses, how much cash you leave lying around versus banked away, who's worth attacking, and what you're willing to spend to find out what a rival is actually sitting on.
The core loop
Work the Block is your main income โ it turns your turns into cash, new hoes, and new thugs, with a chance of getting raided by police along the way. From there, cash gets put to work: banked for safety (at a fee), spent on real estate (factories that passively produce goods and count toward net worth), spent recruiting muscle and weapons for protection, or gambled on heists and the Casino for a bigger payout.
It's genuinely multiplayer
Every bot and every real player you see on the Leaderboard, the Attacks page, or the Informer's dropdown is part of one shared world. Attacking, bombing, and recruiting real players works exactly the same as it does against bots โ same rules, same risks, both ways. Nobody's stats are visible for free, though: what you see is name and net worth only. Anything more detailed costs you an Informer's fee.
Net worth
Rank is based purely on factories, what they produce (guns, cars, trucks), and half of whatever cash you're holding. Thugs and hoes don't count โ they're workforce, not assets. That also means a successful raid on your factories, or a big cash hit, will visibly cost you leaderboard position, not just combat stats.
FAQ
Turns
Turns are your energy โ almost everything costs them. They regenerate on their own over time and cap out at your max. Out of turns and impatient? There's a real-money option to top up on the Settings page.
Working the Block
Spend turns to earn cash, recruit hoes, and recruit thugs, all at once. Pick a location first: Red Light earns the most but draws the most police attention; Nightclub is the middle ground; Pull Up earns the least but is safest and recruits hoes fastest. Get raided and you'll lose some of that shift's cash and thugs โ but never any hoes from a raid, ever.
Why did my hoes leave if not from a raid?
Purely happiness. Keep it above 40% and nobody walks. Let an individual hoe's happiness slide below that and there's a small, rising chance she quits every time you work the block โ by the time she's at 0% happiness, it's a real risk. Safety Kits and Spa treatments (bought in the Store or Real Estate) are how you keep morale up.
Attacking
You need to be away from home turf (not London) with 30+ turns, and your target has to be in the same city. Whoever has zero guns automatically loses to anyone with at least one; otherwise it comes down to thugs ร guns (capped at one gun per thug โ spare guns in storage don't help) ร your own thug morale, plus some randomness. Win and you skim 20โ45% of their liquid cash and wipe their thugs (most gone for good, some just hospitalized for 2 minutes); lose and you're the one who loses cash and thugs.
Bombing
Only once a target's thugs are at zero. You pick a factory type (Medical, Gun, Car, Drug, Explosive, or Counterfeit) blind โ you won't know if they even own one until you commit โ and it wipes out every factory of that type they have, costing bombs based on that type's tier (Medical is cheapest, Counterfeit is by far the most expensive). Blow up someone's Explosive factories and their entire bomb stockpile goes with it.
The Informer
The only way to see someone's actual numbers โ cash, factories, guns, everything. Costs 12% of their known net worth, paid straight to the informer.
The Bank
Banked cash survives a raid, but the bank skims 5% of your balance every hour, and withdrawing costs a 10% fee. It's a tradeoff between safety and cost, not free insurance.
Real Estate / Factories
Six factory types, each producing something automatically every 30 minutes: Medical (safety kits for your hoes), Gun (weapons, mix tunable), Car (Cadillacs/Armored Trucks, mix tunable), Drug (cocaine to sell), Explosive (bombs), and Counterfeit (straight cash โ highest risk/reward tier). All factories can be sold back at 50% of build cost, except Explosive.
Crew
Recruit bots into your crew instantly. Recruiting a real player instead sends them a pending invite they have to accept โ nobody gets pulled into a crew without agreeing to it. Drop someone from your crew and they're protected from you specifically for an hour before you can attack them again.
Leaderboard arrows
โฒ means they've climbed since the last check, โผ means they've dropped, and a blue "โ" means no change (or nothing to compare against yet). The comparison point only refreshes every 5 minutes, so arrows hold steady instead of flickering every time the page updates.
Attack Feed
A live, global log of who attacked who and when โ every real player's attacks, visible to everyone. Background bot-vs-bot skirmishes aren't included; only attacks a real player actually launched.
